Feather Spice Cake

Ingredients:

2 ½ cup sifted cake flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp mace
¼ tsp cloves
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/3 cup molasses
¾ cup milk

Directions:

Sift flour once, then measure
Add baking powder, salt and spices
Sift together 3 times
Cream butter thoroughly
Add sugar gradually, cream together until light and fluffy
Add eggs, one at a time beating thoroughly after each addition
Add molasses and blend
Bake

Spread Fluffy Mocha Frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake
